Day 132: Slubing all day II

“The library, destined for universal education, is more powerful than our armies.”
(José de San Martín, liberator of Chile, Argentina, and Peru)

I'm happy today. I had a really productive day, and in the end, I felt inspired and took my camera to the library. I took some nice photos, and I also took several pictures of the Chemical Abstracts, which takes up a lot of shelves. For non-chemists, the Chemical Abstracts is a database where all existing molecules are registered. It's also an index of all scientific literature in chemistry and related fields. The American Chemical Society has been publishing it since 1907, and as of today (January 22, 2006), its databases contain 27,225,279 organic and inorganic substances.
